CONTAP-201759: Need to have users in ONTAP System Manager with selective visibility on GUI

Issue

  • As of now, in order to have been able to login to the ONTAP System Manager GUI, an user must have /api as read-only.
  • This gives the user visibility(albeit read only) to each and every component of the storage that OSM is showing.
  • However, there are requirements where users with visibility to a specific section is needed and not the entire platform
  • So the ask here is to have an API which lands the user only to the dashboard so that, there onwards, whatever permissions are provided, will be visible to the user.
