SnapCenter Plug-in for Windows shows Services Stopped or Services Down in GUI

Applies to

  • SnapCenter Server [SC]
  • SnapCenter Plug-in for Windows [SCW]
  • SnapCenter Plug-in for SQL [SCSQL]

Issue

  • SnapCenter Plug-in for Windows and/or SQL installed successfully on plug-in host.
  • Services are running on plug-in host, however the services show as Stopped or Services Down in the SnapCenter GUI.

In Windows System Event Log on the SQL server machine, you see the Schannel error 36784 with the following message:

An TLS 1.2 connection request was received from a remote client application, but none of the cipher suites supported by the client application are supported by the server. The TLS connection request has failed.
