SnapCenter Plug-in for Oracle fails to restore control files

Issue

  • If the control files are isolated to their own directory and the directory is deleted, the restore process fails to create the control file directory
  • You may see the following error signature in the spl.log of the failed restore job:
2022-12-06T15:22:21.0000121-07:00 DEBUG qtp722334906-26 c.n.c.p.OperatingSystem - Attempting to copy from /oracle/data/control/control-bkp-465123456.bkp to /oracle/data/control/cntrlx2.dbf using channels
2022-12-06T15:22:21.0000121-07:00 DEBUG qtp722334906-26 c.n.c.p.OperatingSystem - Could not copy using channels
java.io.FileNotFoundException: /oracle/data/control/cntrlx2.dbf (No such file or directory)
