SMHV scheduled tasks not running after IDS software was installed

Issue

  • SMHV scheduled tasks are triggered in Task Scheduler but fail to trigger any backup operations after IDS protection software was installed in the cluster nodes.
  • On demand backups jobs triggered from the SMHV GUI complete successfully.
The following error message can be found in the Windows Application logs:
 
MM/DD/YYYY,00:15:05.0212218,Error,SnapMgrServiceHost,106,"SnapManager for Hyper-V backup failed to complete
An error occured while executing SnapManager backup job.
Job: new-backup -ds DatasetName -pid DatasetName -h Hyper-V Cluster -scid xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxx
Details: An error occured while invoking the powershell cmdlet.
Input Not Valid, An Exception occurred while validating Input.
Details : Object reference not set to an instance of an object. .
