How to restore SCV MySQL backup to another SCV VM

SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere (SCV) 4.3 and later


This article explains steps to restore SCV MySQL backup in the following scenarios:

  • SCV MySQL backup needs to be restored into new SCV virtual machine (VM) as current VM is deleted or unable to boot
  • SCV needs to be migrated to new VM for certain reasons
