Answer

No, SCSQL functionality is available even when SQL Server agent is disabled.

Additional Information

  • When SQL Server agent is disabled, use Windows Task Scheduler for scheduling.
  • If SQL Server agent is used for SCSQL's scheduling when it is disabled,  scheduled backup does not work.
