Directories under /jail are deleted after changing MySQL backup path in SCV appliance

Applies to

  • SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere (SCV) 4.3 - 4.5
  • MySQL backup location is changed from default(/opt/netapp/protectionservice/mysqldumps) to /jail

Issue

  • Directories under /jail are deleted after MySQL backup is generated.
  • Job-<JOB_ID>.log for taking MySQL backup shows the following error.

[ERR] System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path '/jail/lib64'.
   at System.IO.FileSystem.RemoveDirectory(String fullPath, Boolean recursive)
   at NetApp.DataProtection.JobManager.Workers.MySqlDumpWorker.PurgeDatabaseBackups(Int64 jobId, String folderPath, Int32 retentionCount)

  • SCP to SCV fails by the following error.

failed to run command '/bin/bash': No such file or directory
