Answer

  • Node latency and IOPs are calculated by protocol (NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, FCP) on a cluster level
  • This calculation is made based on the traffic to the data LIFs at home on that node, or the LIFs are not being used.
  • When a volume is being accessed indirectly due to the data LIF residing on another node in the cluster, no traffic will be reported by the node where the volume is hosted. This is referred to as indirect I/O.
  • In the volume level chart, view the breakdown statistics to see breakdown(W/R/O)-Write/Read/Other and verify lot of indirect IOPS(Other).
