Why is the SnapCenter Jobs Dashboard different for users?

Answer

  • The SnapCenter Jobs Dashboard shows members of the SnapCenterAdmin role shows all jobs run by all users in the timeframe selected on the upper right:

  • If the user is in a role other than SnapCenterAdmin which has "All member of this role can see and operate on other members objects" selected, they can see all jobs run by members of their role

  • Users in a role without "All members of this role can see and operate on other members objects" checked will only be able to see jobs they have run

Additional Information

  • Example:
    • User 1 and User 2 are in a role named "ROLE1"
    • The "ROLE1" role does not have "All members of this role can see and operate on other members objects" checked
    • User 1 has run 3 completed backups
    • User 2 has run 2 completed backups
    • User 1 will see the Jobs summary below with only 3 completed backups:
