Issue

  • Unable to discover one of the SQL instances on host.
  • Snapcenter reports SQL instance <instance name> is not running even though the instance is up and accessible.

showing error: disk is at or near capacity. you may need to delete some files.Trace ID '1' was stopped because of an error. Cause: xx (There is not enough space on the disk.). Restart the trace after correcting the problem.

[01/06/2026 00:18:54] Event 2013: The G: disk is at or near capacity. You may need to delete some files....
[01/06/2026 03:31:48] Event 19099 Source: MSSQL$DW03 Trace ID '1' was stopped because of an error. Cause: 0x80070070(There is not enough space on the disk.). Restart t he trace after correcting the problem.
[01/06/2026 03:31:48] Event 566 Source: MSSQL$DW03 An error occurred while writing an audit trace. SQL Server is shutting down. Check and correct error conditions such as insufficient disk space, and then restart SQL Server. If the problem persists, disable auditing by starting the server at the command prompt with the "-f" switch, and using SP_CONFIGURE.
