Unable to configure an FCI log directory in SnapCenter

  • SnapCenter Server (SC) 
  • SnapCenter Plug-in for Microsoft SQL Server (SCSQL) 
  • Windows Failover Cluster (FCI) Log Directory

Issue

  • Unable to configure an FCI log directory in SnapCenter and after choosing the path, get an error:

No such host is known. (Host_FQDN:8145)

  • Host in the error is still showing under Configure host log directory drop down list.
  • The host in the error is not in the SC UI Hosts view.
  • The host in the error is not in the SC server Hosts file and has been totally removed from the SQL and SC environment.
  • A backup shows the SmGetClusterResourcesOwnerRequest finds the HLD configuration for the host in the error.
