SnapCenter repository backup fails to connect to server

Issue

After migrating SnapCenter to a different server, SnapCenter repository backups (configured via the Protect-SmRepository cmdlet) fail with error:
 
Unable to connect to the remote server ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond <OLD_SNAPCENTER_IP>:8145
