SnapCenter SQL resource discovery fails with "DbUpdateConcurrencyException" error

Issue

  • During resource discovery for SQL hosts in SnapCenter, the following error is observed in the SnapManagerWeb.log:

 

ERROR SnapManagerWeb_xxxxx PID=[xxxx] TID=[xx] Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore.DbUpdateConcurrencyException: The database operation was expected to affect 1 row(s), but actually affected 0 row(s); data may have been modified or deleted since entities were loaded. See https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=527962 for information on understanding and handling optimistic concurrency exceptions.

  • Attempts to remove affected resource groups and backups via standard SnapCenter UI and PowerShell commands do not resolve the issue. The resource discovery continues to fail with the same error.
