  • SnapCenter Plugin for SAP HANA 4.6

Issue

  • SAP HANA in HA active/passive configuration where active node has data on volume <volA> and passive on volume <volB>
  • When backups run snapshot are created on active volume, in this example on volA but the retention it is applied on bot volA and volB
  • What will happen in some days is that the last snapshot on volB cannot be deleted because it is a base line of SM relationship hence the backups end with a warning
 
Remove Snapshot '<snapshot_name>' failed on volume
'<volA>'. This Snapshot copy is currently used as a reference Snapshot copy by one or more
SnapMirror relationships. Deleting the Snapshot copy can cause future SnapMirror operations to fail.
