SnapCenter Backups are slow after upgrading to 6.0.1P1 when winrm is disabled on Plug-in hosts

  • SnapCenter Server 6.0.1P1 and above [SC]
  • SnapCenter Plug-in for SQL [SCSQL]
  • Windows Remote Management [WinRM]

Issue

  • SnapCenter Backups are very slow after upgrading to 6.0.1P1. 
  • Host and Disk discoveries/enumeration were slow. SnapCenter would take a long time to enumerate disks or the hosts.
  • The following error messages are reported in SCW_<JOBID>.log

Verify that the service on the destination is running and is accepting requests. Consult the logs and documentation for the WS-Management service running on the destination, most commonly IIS or WinRM. If the destination is the WinRM service, run the following command on the destination to analyze and configure the WinRM service: "winrm quickconfig".
