SCV 6.0 or later NTP server configuration changes are not reflected

SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere (SCV) 6.0 through 6.2P1

Issue

  • Though changing NTP server configuration via maintenance console or SCV GUI (https://SCV-IP:8080),  ntpq -p does not show the new NTP server.
  • Even though NTP server configuration at the time of deployment of SCV 6.0 or later is specified, ntpq -p shows other NTP servers
diag@scvhost:~$ ntpq -p

  • ntpq -p displays NTP server that specified before upgrading from SCV 5.0 or earlier, but the changes in SCV 6.0 or later are not reflected.
