SCV4.8+ maintenance console shows "Setting locale failed" after upgrade

  • After upgrading SCV to 4.8 or later

Issue

When logging into Maintenance Console of SCV, the following warnings are displayed:

 Maintenance Console : "SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere"

perl: warning: Setting locale failed.
perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings:
        LANGUAGE = (unset),
        LC_ALL = "en_US.UTF-8",
        LANG = (unset)
    are supported and installed on your system.
perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale ("C").
perl: warning: Setting locale failed.
perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings:
        LANGUAGE = (unset),
        LC_ALL = "en_US.UTF-8",
        LANG = (unset)
    are supported and installed on your system.
