SCO backup fails with error ORA-01187 and ORA-01110

Issue

When running a Snapcenter backup for an Oracle database, it fails with the following error:

Resource (resource1\XE) failed with error (PL-SCO-20004: Quiescing of database failed with error ORACLE-10003: Error executing SQL "ALTER DATABASE BACKUP CONTROLFILE TO TRACE AS '/opt/oracle/oradata/XE/control-bkp-xxyyzzttxx.trc' REUSE" against Oracle database XE: ORA-01187: cannot read from file  because it failed verification tests
ORA-01110: data file 201: '/opt/oracle/oradata/XE/temp01.dbf'
