  • SCE backup fails to find the Exchange host databases with error:

Backup Registration : Unable to find the instance (FQDN) 

  • When running a resource discovery the following error is seen in the <installation_path>\NetApp\SnapCenter\App_Data\log\SnapManagerWeb_<id>.log:

DEBUG SnapManagerWeb_392 PID=[11996] TID=[74] Finding Exchange Database with Guid: <Guid_Id>
DEBUG SnapManagerWeb_392 PID=[11996] TID=[74] Could not find Exchange Database with nsmGuid: Host_FQDN\database and DBGuid <Guid_Id>
ERROR SnapManagerWeb_392 PID=[11996] TID=[74] System.Exception: Unable to find the instance (FQDN)
