Oracle database restore times out and fails after 72 hours

Issue

Oracle database restore runs for 3 days (72 hours) and then fails with the following errors:

ERROR qtp489446773-390 c.n.o.c.s.d.r.DatabaseRmanService - An exception thrown during the execution of method restore and the exception message is Timeout of 72:00:00.000 occured when running command [RESTORE DATAFILE '+ABXXXX/XXXX/A2A6B86752C221XXXXXX com.netapp.oracle.core.exception.OracleCoreException: Timeout of 72:00:00.000 occured when running command [RESTORE DATAFILE NAME]
