MaxDB backup fails with quiesce error after upgrading JAVA

Issue

After upgrading JAVA on the MaxDB plug-in host, from 1.8 to 11, backups of MaxDB resources start failing with the following errors seen:
 

SnapCenter UI:

Quiesce Filesystem failed with Exception: null
 

MaxDB_<JobID_Date_Time>.log:

ERROR  [pool-7-thread-5] 195 com.netapp.plugincreator.workflow.impl.SCTaskCallableBlocking -Exception thrown by task:quiesceFS with config:<Profile>@<Resource_Group>
ERROR  [pool-7-thread-5] 195 com.netapp.plugincreator.workflow.impl.SCTaskCallableBlocking -Task: quiesceFS with config:<Profile>@<Resource_Group> failed 
 
ERROR  [pool-7-thread-8] 189 com.netapp.plugincreator.workflow.util.TaskUtil -Could not execute operation metadataCleanup on plugin MAXDB (Reason: NullPointerException: )
