How to remotely deploy SnapCenter-Plugin using powershell Invoke-Command

Description

  • In some circumstance, you may need to uninstall/re-install the SnapCenter host plugins without remove the host from the SnapCenter UI or cmdlet, to avoid the loss of restorability of existing backups done on that plug-in host.
  • Removing the host and re-adding the host from the SnapCenter UI or cmdlet will re-add the host with a different host id in the SnapCenter 'NSM' database resulting in all  previous backups being associated with the old host  and not the new host
  • To avoid the issue above, us the procedure ocuemented below to remove the existing plug-in installations and install new or upgraded plug-ins directly on the host itselft.
