Issue

  • File consistent backups fail after ONTAP upgrade to 9.14.1 during the storage connection stage.
  • No error in the backup log but the Application Event log on the SC server host:

Error <Host_Name> SnapDriveEventMsgs 528 "SnapDrive failed to set your storage system connection.
Error code : -1
Details : Failed to connect to storage system <SVM_Name>.
 User is not authorized.

Possible solutions :
1. Check if the firewall blocks the connection.
2. Make sure the Net.Tcp Port Sharing Service is up and running.
3. The credentials are specified correctly."
