Issue

Oracle database discovery for not-root user fails with (note also the misspelling of "occurred" in the actual message):
 
Discovery failed for object <object_name> with error PL-SCO-20006: Discovery of database files failed for database <database_name> on host <host_name> with error Operation Exception occured during oracle databaseconnection, reason: Unexpected Operation occured

Changes that cause this:

  • SnapCenter upgrades to 4.8 and beyond
  • Changes in profile scripting, specifically the oracle (sqlplus owner) account.
