Are there changes to the Minimum vCenter privileges required for vCenter Admin role?

Yes.  The changes are listed below.
The following privileges are automatically assigned to all roles created and it's internally taken care by vCenter
  • System.Anonymous
  • System.View
  • System.Read

  • Resource.AssignVMToPool    | Resource    Assign virtual machine to resource pool
  • Host.Config.Storage               | Host Configuration Storage partition configuration
