OnCommand Unified Manager (OCUM) 9.5 (OVA)

Issue

  • When viewing events in the Event Management page of OnCommand Unified Manager (UM), the timestamps do not match up with the times the events actually occurred and notifications were sent.
  • Checking the system time reveals that it is not synced with the NTP source, even though the ntpd configuration is valid and worked previously.
  • Checking the system time periodically with the date command shows that the clock continues to drift and is not automatically adjusted.
  • After reboot the system time may appear stable, but eventually begins to drift again.
  • Drift occurs regardless of whether VMware tools clock synchronization option is enabled.
  • Using the tinker panic 0 directive in the /etc/ntp.conf does not resolve the issue.
