  • Microsoft Windows Server

Answer

  • Yes, the Windows In-Place upgrade can be done on an AIQUM server.
  • Firstly we will have to check the Compatibility of the Windows OS with AIQUM versionon the Netapp IMT (Interoperability Matrix Tool)
  • We will have to ensure that we take a MySQL backup before we proceed with the windows upgrade.
  • Upgrading the host OS should not affect Unified Manager other than the downtime required during host OS upgrade.
  • It is best to put the Clusters under "Maintenance Mode" in AIQUM before proceeding with this activity.

  • Once this is done, you can proceed with the In-Place upgrade of the Windows OS.
  • The upgrade procedure for Windows OS can be found on Microsoft's Official help pages.
  • Finally you can remove the "Maintenance Mode" and resume regular monitoring.
