Is it possible to use mTLS communication between AIQUM and ONTAP?

Answer

  • Yes, Starting with 9.12, AIQUM uses mTLS for communicating with ONTAP for any new cluster added
  • For AIQUM upgraded from previous versions, mTLS can be enabled by editing the cluster credentials manually
    1.  In Cluster setup, Edit cluster credentials with temporary account which has administrator role once.
    2.  In Cluster setup, restore the credentials to the originally configured from the Edit menu.

Note:

Cluster monitoring is not affected even if mTLS remains disabled.
