Applies to

  • Active IQ Unified Manager (AIQUM)
  • VMware virtual appliance (OVA)
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

Description

  • By default, AIQUM waits up to 3600 seconds (1 hour) for JBoss deployments to finish during service start
  • While that wait is running, the OVA VM console will remain on Starting ActiveIQ Unified Manager services. This operation might take a couple of minutes, which blocks the maintenance menu and diagnostic-shell enablement.
  • This article shows how to lower that wait (example: 3600 to 600 seconds) on OVA and Linux.

Note: The change survives a reboot, however An AIQUM upgrade can overwrite standalone-full.xml and 20_um.conf, so the values may need to be set again after an upgrade.
