AIQUM root filesystem getting full due to syslog and kern.log

  • ActiveIQ Unified Manager (AIQUM) 9.13x

Issue

  • Cluster Monitoring failed alerts for multiple clusters received from AIQUM with reason:

No space left on device.

  • After rebooting AIQUM host, AIQUM service will not start
  • Root file system (disk 1 mapped to /) is 100% full
  • These files are very large, multiple GB:

/var/log/syslog

/var/log/kern.log

/var/log/debug

Root filesystem getting full frequently.
