AIQUM becomes unresponsive frequently after upgrade to 9.18

  • Active IQ Unified Manager 9.18 (AIQUM)
  • Environments monitoring large ONTAP clusters (100+ nodes)
  • Customers upgrading from AIQUM 9.16P2 to 9.18

Issue

  • After upgrading AIQUM from 9.16P2 to 9.18, the application becomes unresponsive frequently and The UI is inaccessible.
  • The OCIE service gets timed out and AIQUM requires a manual VM reboot to restore functionality.

    The /var/log/ocie folder contains JVM crash logs:
