Issue

  • When attempting to rename CIFS VServer you receive below error:
LDAP Error: The user has insufficient access rights. 
  • Example output:

::> vserver cifs modify -vserver CIFS -cifs-server CIFS01 -domain NETAPP.COM
Enter the user name : <username>
Enter the password : <password>
Error: Failed to create the Active Directory machine account "CIFS01". Reason: LDAP Error: The user has insufficient access rights.
