In situations were the domain admin does not have access in AD to be able to create the machine account, at all or in a specifc OU, but does have the access to make modifications to existing account, ...In situations were the domain admin does not have access in AD to be able to create the machine account, at all or in a specifc OU, but does have the access to make modifications to existing account, a CIFS create would fail using thier creditials. In situation like this the cifs server machine account can be created in Active Directory prior to the vserver cifs create or vserver active-directory create command being run.
