Error 404 or page not available when accessing AIQUM on vApp or RHEL due to a timeout

  • Active IQ Unified Manager (AIQUM) Version Independent
  • OnCommand Unified Manager (OCUM) Version Independent
  • OnCommand Performance Manager (OPM) Version Independent


There can be multiple symptoms of this technical challenge.

  • OCIE service will fail to start

Failed to start NetApp OnCommand Insight Essentials (OCIE) Server services

  • This can result in Error 404 when attempting to access the WebUI
    • Chrome "404 - Not Found"
    • Internet Explorer "HTTP 404 Not Found" "The webpage cannot be found"
  • Datasources get stuck in Discovering status
  • OCIE service starts but Acquisition Unit can't start
    • au.log shows the following error

ERROR [WrapperStartStopAppMain] c.o.s.a.f.Main ( - Main - Failed to start acquisition - Failed to load Server returned HTTP response code: 401 for URL: https://localhost:443/datasources/
