Unable to Copy Data Between Two Existing LUNs on the Same SVM (Vserver)

Issue

  • When attempting to copy data between two existing LUNs within the same SVM using the lun copy command, the operation fails with the following error:-

lun copy start -vserver <vserver> -destination-path <dest-path> -source-path <src-path>
Error: command failed: Destination LUN "<dest-path>" already exists.
