Answer

Yes, removing permissions on CIFS share can cause access issues to users with administrative privileges

Note :

  • The C\$ share is an administrative share in Windows that provides network access to the root of the C: drive. By default, it is accessible only to users with administrative privileges
  • While it is technically possible to remove or modify permissions for this share, it is generally not recommended as it can affect system functionality and remote management capabilities
