CVO: No Space Left on Device
Applies to
- Cloud Volumes Ontap (CVO)
- Space Utilization
Issue
CVO instance shows aggregate full even though there's free disk space.
Cause
CVO aggregates are mirrored therefore it might appear like there's free space available but in actuality what you're seeing are the mirrored disks.
Below is an example of what a mirrored aggregate looks like.
Example:
Aggregate aggr01 (online, raid0, mirrored) (advanced_zoned checksums)
Plex /aggr01/plex0 (online, normal, active, pool0)
RAID group /aggr01/plex0/rg0 (normal, advanced_zoned checksums)
RAID Disk Device HA SHELF BAY CHAN Pool Type RPM Used (MB/blks) Phys (MB/blks)

Add more disks to the aggregate to increase space
