Issue

CVO VMs fail to boot after Azure maintenance; while an Azure-side reboot may sometimes resolve the issue, it is not consistently effective.
- The following errors, or similar, are seen in the console boot log :
Failed to get maintenance event data from scheduledevents. Rebooting.
Unable to retrieve azure Instance meta-data (instance/compute/name)

Another example of a similar error is:
Unable to retrieve azure Instance meta-data (instance/network/interface/0/ipv4/ipAddress/0/privateIpAddress)
- VM redeploy did not fix the issue.
Cause
One of the patches applied to the underlying hardware of the CVO VMs by Microsoft Azure expired, causing the virtual machines/servers to fail to boot up.
Solution
Contact Microsoft Azure Support with error seen "Unable to retrieve azure Instance meta-data (instance/compute/name)" to reapply the necessary patches to the host of CVO VM.
