Issue

Users encounter an authorization error when attempting to discover a working environment with the following error in the NetApp Console server log:

2024-07-05 12:37:16,906 UTC ERROR [Working Environment   ] [XXXXXXXX] [XXXXXXXX ] [XXX XXXX ] (qtpXXXXXXXX) [GeneralExceptionMapper:42] Could not find Working Environment with ID VsaWorkingEnvironment-XXXXXXXX

Cause

The cause of the issue is a mismatch between the Working Environment ID expected by NetApp Console and the actual tag assigned to the Cloud Volumes ONTAP (CVO) instance. This discrepancy can occur if the tag has been changed.

Solution

  • Verify that the CVO instance tag for the Working Environment ID matches what NetApp Console is attempting to discover, as indicated in the logs.
  • If the tag has been changed, follow these steps:
  1. Remove the CVO from the NetApp Console canvas.
  2. Update the CVO instance  Working Environment ID tag to match the case sensitivity as shown in the logs (e.g., "VsaWorkingEnvironment-XXXXXXXX").
  3. Rediscover the CVO in the NetApp Console canvas.
  4. Restart the ONTAP Cloud Manager (OCCM) container with the following command "sudo docker restart occm" or Reboot the connector instance.
