  • NetApp Console Agent (formerly BlueXP)

Issue

When attempting to update Azure credentials  via the NetApp Console interface, the following error is displayed:

Failed to update credentials.
The Azure credentials for this account cannot be changed. The new Azure credentials are not valid for working environments <CVOname>, or working environments are being initialized.

Cause

The NetApp Console Agent managing the affected working environment is running with an unsupported configuration. Specifically:
  • The agent VM does not meet the minimum required resources (e.g., only 4 vCPUs and 16GB RAM, while 8 vCPUs and 32GB RAM are required).
  • The Docker version in use (e.g., 28.5.1) is not supported by the Console agent.

Solution

Deploy a new NetApp Console Agent VM that meets all supported configuration requirements (minimum 8 vCPUs, 32GB RAM, supported Docker version), and migrate your working environments to this new agent. After deploying the new agent, updating the Azure credentials will succeed.
