CVO Upgrade failing in BlueXP

Issue

  • Once the version is selected and upgrade launch is triggered, the web interface just spins indefinitely but never progresses
  • CVO upgrade fails with the error,
Error:Failed to download image with status: async_pkg_get_phase_failed.
netboot/pmroot_late3g.tgz: gzip decompression failed tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors.

Cause

The image is not available in the BlueXP manifest for upgrade

Solution

Upgrade the CVO manually by using the manual upgrade procedure.

Internal Notes

  • In one case, user had two of the same ONTAP images of different sizes in CVO .
  • Used the manual upgrade procedure to manually point to the correct image.
