Is it supported to configure BlueXP Conenctor as part of muti-layered proxy enviornment?

Answer

No,  it is not supported to configure BlueXP Conenctor as part of muti-layered proxy enviornment.

Additional Information

  • There is no UI or API interface to setup connector's squid container to relay request to next tier proxy server.
  • Connector's proxy server ( squid container ) is configured to work as Proxy Server for Cloud Volumes ONTAP to send AutoSupport.  It is not configured to relay request to next tier proxy server.  Instead,  BlueXP Connector configures to use same proxy server for Cloud Volumes ONTAP to send AutoSupport.
  • It is possible to configure to rely Proxy Request using cache_peer directive in :/opt/application/netapp/cloudmanager/docker_occm/data/squid.conf.  However, this is your responsibility to make it works in your environment.
