    • Changes made via the CVS API require time to be transmitted to and executed on the ONTAP cluster

    • user uses the CVS API to modify an export policy such that no clients can access volume.
      • immediately afterward, clients can still access the volume
      • 30 seconds later, clients cannot access the volume
