Answer

  • Yes, CVOs will shutdown after a period of time without having a valid license
    • CVOs with node based BYOL licenses have a 30-day grace period after the the license expires before it shuts down
    •  The CVO will shut down at midnight on the 31st day
    • CVOs with capacity based BYOL licenses have a 14-day grace period after the the license expires before it shuts down
    •  The CVO will shut down at midnight on the 15th day
      • These licenses are visible from the CLI with the following command
        • cluster::> system license show -package cloud

Additional Information

  • CVOs with PAYGO licenses have a 14-day grace period after the the license expires before it shuts down
    • PAYGO licenses are not visible via the CVO CLI
