  • Cloud Volume ONTAP(CVO)
  • Single Instance Data Logging(SIDL)

Answer

The default SIDL setting is "on" for the CVO environment.
  • Single CVO:

::> storage aggregate show -fields single-instance-data-logging
 aggregate             single-instance-data-logging
 --------------------- ----------------------------
 aggr0_cvosingleaws_01 off
 aggr1                 on

  • CVO-HA:

::> storage aggregate show -fields single-instance-data-logging
 aggregate         single-instance-data-logging
 ----------------- ----------------------------
 aggr0_cvoHAaws_01 off
 aggr0_cvoHAaws_02 off
 aggr1             on

Note:

  • SIDL is an ONTAP write mode which improves ONTAP write efficiency on virtualized environments (CVO, ONTAPselect, etc..)
  • It only supports RAID 0 configuration
