Applies to

  • BlueXP
  • Cloud Volumes ONTAP (CVO)
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Issue

  • Aggregate creation on CVO in GCP via BlueXP UI fails with error below when selecting pd-balanced disks:

Create Aggregate
failed
Error:Failed to assign disk to node: cvo-01
{
"providerVolumeType": "pd-balanced",
"name": "aggr1",
"diskSize": {
"size": 8,
"unit": "TB"
}

  • Aggregate creation is seen successful when creating aggregate using pd-standard disks.
  • Disks are getting successfully created, attached to the CVO vm instance(s) but eventually not all the disks are getting assigned in ONTAP.
