Issue

  • Volumes are running out of space while migrating from the old storage to FabricPool volumes with All tiering policy
  • This is causing data migration issues because there is no room on the performance tier for data to be written.
  • The following error can be seen in SNAPMIRROR-ERROR.LOG
  Mon Jan 01 23:40:39 +0100 [CVO1-01: sm_logger_main: smc.snapmir.update.fail:error]: 
  Snapmirror update from source volume 'SRCSVM:SRCVOL' to destination volume 'DESTSVM:DESTVOL' 
  failed with error 'Transfer failed.(Volume access error(No space
  available in capacity tier staging area(Note=Delayed update operation is queued.)))'.
