Proxy certificate file upload fails on Connector deployment

During connector installation with a proxy configuration, Zscaler certificate upload fails with error:
File upload failed
From Connector CLI the logs show a certificate error:

root@connector-vm:/opt/application/netapp/service-manager-2/logs# tail -f service-manager.log

{"level":"error","message":"Error: docker login failed with status 1 error: WARNING! Using --password via the CLI is insecure. Use --password-stdin.\nError response from daemon: Get \\: x509: certificate signed by unknown authority\n\n   

When testing connection to above endpoint with certificate:

root@connector-vm:/opt/application/netapp/service-manager-2$ wget
--2023-06-14 10:07:46--
Resolving (
Connecting to (||:443... connected.
ERROR: cannot verify's certificate, issued by ‘CN=Zscaler Intermediate Root CA ( (t)\\ ,OU=Zscaler Inc.,O=Zscaler Inc.,ST=California,C=US’:
Unable to locally verify the issuer's authority.
