Federated user receives error when attempting login to bluexp.netapp.com, error: "Cannot login via federation without email address on account"

Issue

  • Federated authentication is setup to use SAML
  • User attempts login through BlueXP (bluexp.netapp.com) and is correclty redirected to their SAML login portal
  • Upon submitting credentials the browser is redirected back to BlueXP, but an error is presented
    You have attempted to login via federated connection, but your federation user does not have an email address or the federation server is not providing the email address with the authentication request. It is not possible to login without an email address. For more information, please contact NetApp Cloud Support.
    access_denied: federation_no_email/Cannot login via federation without email address on account.
