Issue

  • User is unable to use the volumeSnapshot functionality through the CSI driver and seeing snapshots with errors:

time="2024-01-03T18:51:23Z" level=error msg="GRPC error: rpc error: code = FailedPrecondition desc = Trident initialization failed; error attempting to clean up snapshot snapshot-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxx from backend nas-csi: error reading volume size: flexvol

  • VolumeSnapshot status outputs as READYTOUSE=false.
